Lisa Snowdon is crowned the WINNER of Celebrity MasterChef 2022

The model and presenter, 50, fought off stiff competition against singers Melanie Blatt and Danny Jones in Thursday’s grand final thanks to her impressive menu which featured pan fried duck.

Breaking down in tears after judges John Torode and Gregg Wallace declared her the winner, Lisa remarked: ‘I feel like this isn’t real!’

The beauty presented the judges with a starter of poached rhubarb and pan-fried mackerel, followed my her main course of duck breast with mushrooms and cavolo nero.

The nail-biting final saw Lisa tasked with creating a mouth-watering three-course meal in just three hours and the This Morning star certainly stepped up to the plate.

Finishing things off, her dessert consisted of a chocolate tart served with crème fraiche and sour cherries. 

Commenting on her main, Gregg declared that it was a ‘glorious dish’ and hailed her ‘inspired’ sauce, while John gushed that every element was ‘beautiful’.

Speaking after the duo crowned her the winner over All Saints’ Mel, 47, and McFly’s Danny, 36, Lisa said: ‘I’m honestly so blown away.

Struggling to fight back the tears, she added: ‘I just can’t believe it. I couldn’t have wanted to win something that meant more to me than this.’

Speaking after Lisa’s win, John, 57, said: ‘Lisa throughout this competition has taken the everyday and elevated it into something special.

Lisa continued: ‘I can’t wait to tell my mum, my dad and my nephew. I am on cloud nine. I love it… I LOVE IT!’

While Gregg, also 57, added: ‘ Faint heart never lifts a MasterChef title and that is why Lisa is our Celebrity MasterChef champion.’

‘This final she dared to do something that was going to be a gamble, and the gamble paid off. Her food is fantastic.’

This year’s cohort of famous names also included former boxing champion Chris Eubank, TV presenter Kirsty Gallacher, former pro-footballer Jimmy Bullard and actor Ryan Thomas. 

Twenty contestants were whittled down to three over six weeks of cookery challenges and eliminations.
